Microsoft PowerApps is an enterprise-grade tool that was developed to allow non-technical users to access ‘easy to use’, mobile-ready apps. PowerApps enables the user (technical or not) to create, share and manage apps for their business. Apps can be created without the use of code and can be selected from a list of templates. On top of this, drag and drop functionality enables the user to create the app quickly and simply.
PowerApps connects to cloud and data services and runs in a browser from Microsoft Dynamics 365, or can be run using PowerApps mobile (for Windows, Android and iOS devices). The apps created are made around different types of data that can come from many different sources. There are many connections to third-party and Microsoft apps, including SharePoint, OneDrive, SQL Server, DropBox and Google Docs. The type of app can be determined by the data entered, whether it be from Excel, SharePoint lists etc.
